Handling of personal information pertaining to the Retail Electricity Business
SB Power Corp. (“SB Power” or “the Company”) will handle personal information obtained directly or indirectly in the operation of its Retail Electricity Business as follows
1. Purpose of Use of Personal Information
The Company will use the collected personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the objectives described below. In the event that the Company uses personal information for purposes other than those described below, in each case the Company will clarify the purpose of use after the change, publish an announcement, and seek your consent.
Purpose of use in the Retail Electricity Business

2. Provision of personal information to third parties
The Company may provide personal information to third parties in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law and other laws and regulations. In addition, the personal information handled by the Company may be provided to third parties in writing or by electronic or magnetic means as described below. If you request us to do so, we will refrain from providing personal data that identifies you to third parties. However, as a result, we or partner companies may no longer be able to provide you with services.

The Company may provide personal information such as name, address, affiliated business name and contact address provided in application information, inquiry information or billing information to the business operator designated by the Company to which the customer entrusts the advance payment of electricity charges (“designated business operator”) for the purpose of ensuring continuous service to the customer by the appropriate designated business operator.

The Company may provide the designated business operator with personal information such as name, address, affiliated business name and address provided in the applicant’s contact information

The Company may provide general electricity transmission and distribution utilities *1 with personal information, such as name, address and telephone number, necessary for the purpose of concluding, executing, modifying or cancelling a wheeling service agreement.

For the purpose of providing services in collaboration with other companies, SB Power may provide our service partners with personal information, such as name, address, telephone number, email address, date of birth, sex and other information necessary to identify the customer and to register and provide the services.

The Company will provide the personal information of applicants or subscribers (name, address, telephone number, etc.) to SoftBank Corp. or its group companies, LY Corporation or its group companies, or other businesses for the purpose of introducing promotional campaigns, or supplying, analyzing, improving or providing support for products or services.

4. Requests for disclosure of personal information and other inquiries
Individuals whose personal information is held by the Company may request the Company to notify or disclose the purpose of use of the information; disclose, correct, add or delete information; stop using, delete, or stop providing the personal information to third parties (hereinafter "Disclose" or “Disclosure”). However, the Company may not be able to respond to all disclosure requests. In those situations, the Company will reply with the reason why the disclosure cannot be made. A fee of 1,650 yen (fixed postal money order) inclusive of tax (10%) will be charged per request for notification or disclosure of the purpose of use of personal information.

The term “electricity retailer” means a business operator to which none of the grounds for refusal of registration prescribed in Article 2-5, paragraph 1 of the Electricity Business Act (Act No. 170 of July 11, 1964) apply and that has been registered by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry as an electricity retailer (including business operators deemed to have been registered as electricity retailers pursuant to the Supplementary Provisions of the Act for Partial Revision of the Electricity Business Act (Act No. 72 of 2014) (for the names, locations, etc. of the relevant business operators, please refer to

The term “intermediary service to discontinue a contract for retail service, etc.” means that, upon receipt of an application for conclusion of a new contract for retail service, etc. from a customer, the business operator makes a request for termination of the existing contract for retail service, etc. to the customer’s current business operator on behalf of the customer.
